Responsibilities
- Support classroom activities by assisting with lesson plans focused on childhood development and early learning skills
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and proper behavior management
- Engage children in age-appropriate educational activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences to foster strong partnerships
- Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or well-being promptly
- Assist with diapering, feeding infants or toddlers, and providing basic first aid or pediatric first aid when necessary
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of child development instruction and early childhood education principles
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) for the safety of children in your care
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to supervise children effectively
- Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to handle caregiving responsibilities such as infant care, toddler care, and behavior management with patience and professionalism
- Familiarity with daycare center operations, childhood development milestones, and mandated reporting laws
