Foxcroft Wine Co is searching for a vibrant and dedicated Assistant Manager to support our General Manager in delivering an exceptional dining experience at our Birkdale Village location. Position Overview:
As the Assistant Manager at Foxcroft, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our esteemed wine-focused restaurant. You’ll be instrumental in maintaining high service standards, supporting the team, and contributing to the restaurant’s overall success. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for wines, exceptional leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
Wine Program Support:
- Collaborate with the General Manager and Wine Operations Director to curate and maintain our diverse and appealing wine inventory.
- Assist with wine inventory management and product ordering.
- Organize staff wine tastings and educational events to enhance wine knowledge.
Customer Service Excellence:
- Set a high standard for customer service and lead by example in delivering unforgettable dining experiences.
- Engage with guests, offer wine recommendations, answer questions, and ensure their needs are promptly met.
- Address guest feedback and concerns professionally and proactively to ensure customer satisfaction.
Staff Supervision and Training:
- Support the General Manager in recruiting, training, and supervising front-of-house staff, including servers and support staff.
- Provide ongoing training on wine knowledge, service standards, and customer relations to elevate team performance.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
Operational Support:
- Assist with daily restaurant operations, manage reservations, coordinate seating arrangements, and ensure smooth service flow.
- Monitor and maintain the restaurant’s cleanliness, ambiance, and adherence to safety standards.
- Collaborate with the kitchen management team to ensure efficient coordination between FOH and BOH staff.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a leadership role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a wine-focused restaurant or similar establishment.
- A genuine passion for wine and experience ordering
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with guests and team members.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Leadership qualities that inspire and motivate the team to deliver exceptional service.
- A customer-centric mindset with a strong commitment to providing outstanding dining experiences.
- Familiarity with restaurant point-of-sale systems and basic financial reporting.
