We’re currently seeking a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist III to support our growing manufacturing operations with our team on-site in Memphis, Tennessee. This position will directly assist all processes associated with CNC machining within the facility and contribute as a vital part of the production process for specialty trackwork. This is a full-time, direct opportunity with Atlantic Track. This position will support our first shift, which operates Monday through Friday from 6:00am to 2:30pm.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Leads a team of CNC Machinists to produce quality parts according to specifications

Operates CNC milling machines to contribute to production needs

Performs editing to CNC programming and makes adjustments to speeds and feeds

Reads and interprets blueprints, technical drawings, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements

Utilizes precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges, and coordinates measuring machines to ensure accuracy

Performs setup and tooling changes on CNC equipment

Coordinates with Maintenance team to ensure that preventive and corrective maintenance is performed in a timely manner

Assists in the assembly of components and utilizes hand tools and power tools for various tasks

Maintains a neat, organized, and safe work area

Loads and unloads parts on machine by crane

Complete required quality documentation

Maintains a positive and helpful attitude to assist other team members in the shop
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED, HiSET, TASC, etc.)

Minimum of 8 years of CNC machining in a manufacturing environment

Ability to read and interpret CNC programs and blueprints

Advanced mechanical knowledge

Basic shop math skills to be used for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks

Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality control standards

Ability to work on-site in Memphis, Tennessee
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading a team in a manufacturing environment

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system familiarity

Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Associate’s or technical degree

Railroad experience

Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10 or 30-hour certification

Forklift certification

Experience operating overhead cranes
