ASW Distillery is seeking a friendly, service-oriented Barista / Tasting Room Associate to join our team. This unique position combines specialty coffee service with the hospitality and guest experience of a craft distillery tasting room.
We're looking for someone with prior coffee experience who is passionate about creating exceptional guest experiences. While barista skills are required, we'll provide training on our spirits, cocktails, tastings, and distillery story.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys both coffee culture and craft beverages and wants to expand their hospitality skillset.
What You'll DoCoffee Service
- Prepare espresso-based beverages, drip coffee, and specialty coffee drinks
- Operate and maintain espresso equipment and coffee stations
- Ensure consistent drink quality and presentation
- Manage coffee and pastries inventory and maintain cleanliness of the coffee service area
Tasting Room Hospitality
- Welcome and engage guests in a warm, professional manner
- Educate visitors about ASW Distillery's spirits and production process
- Conduct guided spirit tastings (training provided)
- Prepare and serve cocktails according to company standards (training provided)
- Process sales through the POS system
- Assist with retail bottle sales and merchandise purchases
- Support special events and private tastings as needed
QualificationsRequired
- Previous barista experience
- Strong customer service and hospitality skills
- Ability to work independently during morning shifts
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Must be at least 21 years old
Preferred
- Experience in hospitality, restaurants, bars, or tasting rooms
- Interest in craft spirits, cocktails, coffee, and beverage education
- Experience with POS systems
- Flexible availability for occasional evenings and weekends
