General Statement of Duties: The 21st Century Site Director leads the implementation, supervision, and continuous improvement of K–8 after–school and out-of-school time programs. This role ensures that all program elements—including academic support, youth enrichment, and family engagement— are effectively delivered, aligned to Ohio Learning Standards, and compliant with state licensing and grant requirements. The Director serves as a key liaison with school partners, community organizations, families, and funders.

Location/Travel: Schedule: Job Responsibilities On Site with some travel Monday-Friday; requires in-person presence during program hours and flexibility for meetings and reporting
Job Responsibilities
- Plan and implement daily programming aligned with Ohio K–12 Learning Standards, integrating academic, social-emotional, and character-building activities.
- Coordinate and oversee enrichment activities, special events, and student engagement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with Step Up to Quality, licensing regulations, and 21st Century grant requirements. Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate site staff, tutors, and volunteers; lead monthly team meetings and professional development.
- Maintain accurate records for attendance, enrollment, safety, and program operations; manage grant reporting requirements.
- Foster strong partnerships with families, school leaders, and community organizations to support student success.
- Manage program budgets and support fundraising and sustainability efforts.
- Enforce consistent discipline practices and site safety procedures. Performance Expectations Achieve full compliance with Step Up to Quality, licensing, and grant reporting standards.
- Maintain a high staff retention rate and ensure timely completion of required training.
- Demonstrate consistent growth in student engagement, attendance, and academic/social emotional outcomes.
- Build positive, collaborative relationships with school and community stakeholders.
- Meet or exceed budget management and program sustainability targets.
- Utilize program data to implement continuous quality improvements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in education, Child Development, or related field (Associate's with experience may be considered)
- Experience: One year of experience working with K–8 youth in a group/classroom setting Supervisory or team leadership experience. Experience with 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) grants.
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities. Familiarity with Step Up to Quality, ODJFS Childcare Licensing, and academic assessment. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Experience working with diverse families and communities
- Valid Ohio driver’s license and Educational Aide Permit or ability to obtain

Pay: $52,000.00 - $54,000.00 per year
