Job Description:
Doer Signs is hiring a full-time Sanding Assistant to support our manufacturing and production operations. This position is responsible for sanding and preparing metal and sign components prior to painting and finishing. No prior experience is required.
Responsibilities:
- Sand and smooth metal and sign components
- Remove sharp edges, rust, and surface imperfections
- Prepare parts for painting and finishing
- Use hand and power sanding tools
- Follow production and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Safety Responsibilities:
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Proper use of PPE (safety glasses, gloves, masks, etc.)
- Maintain a safe workstation
- Report unsafe conditions or equipment issues
Qualifications:
- Full-time availability
- No experience required (manufacturing experience is a plus)
- Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
- Attention to detail
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical work
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing / production facility
- Standing, bending, and repetitive tasks
- Use of basic hand and power tools
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
