Position Summary
Project Turnabout is seeking a Mental Health Professional to provide comprehensive mental health assessments, evaluations, and clinical consultation within a multidisciplinary treatment environment. This role plays a key part in identifying and addressing co-occurring mental health disorders and supporting integrated, holistic treatment planning.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Participate in screening and pre-intake processes as requested by Intake staff
- Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations for designated patients, including:
- Clinical interviews
- Interpretation of psychometric assessments (MMPI, GAIN-SS, Shipley-Hartford, and others as indicated)
- Preparation of written evaluation reports in the electronic medical record identifying key treatment issues
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings, providing consultation and clinical input related to mental health and co-occurring disorders
- Provide educational lectures and presentations on mental health topics to patients
- Provide ongoing follow-up related to co-occurring mental health conditions as identified by the clinical team
- Maintain professional, timely, and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with Project Turnabout standards
- Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives and other assigned projects

- Remain open to supervision and constructive feedback
- Attend all required staff meetings and actively contribute as a team member
- Pass a Minnesota Department of Human Services background study
- Must be able to provide documentation a minimum of two years free from chemical or gambling use problems
- Complete electronic documentation as required
Qualifications & Requirements Education & Licensure
- Must possess a Masters degree in social work, marriage & family therapy, Clinical counseling, or other related field.
- PhD Psychologist or LPCC preferred
- Will consider LICSW or LMFT with relevant assessment and evaluation experience
- Must be Minnesota licensed or license-eligible
Knowledge & Skills
- Experience with mental health assessment and evaluation
- Familiarity with co-occurring disorders and integrated treatment models
- Knowledge of holistic approaches to addiction and mental health treatment preferred
- Strong computer proficiency
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit up to 80% of the workday
- Ability to walk up to 20% of the workday, including the equivalent of three city blocks one to two times per day
- Ability to see, hear, and speak for: Client assessment, Counseling and lectures
- Computer documentation and dictation
