This position serves as an Equity and Title IX Specialist for investigating and resolving reports alleging discrimination, harassment, retaliation, sexual assault, or misconduct involving students, faculty, employees, visitors, and other University agents. Ensures compliance with and the consistent application of university policies and government regulations designed to stop, prevent the recurrence, and remedy the effects of discrimination, harassment, or retaliation. Serves as a liaison to educate, advise, and communicate with students, faculty, employees, and others regarding questions, concerns, policies, compliance, and processes related to equity and Title IX. Provides direct supervision to part-time employees and provides cross-functional support across the Equity and Title IX Office.
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, psychology, counseling, or related field, or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Experience in human resources, employment law, employee relations, EEO, AA, Title IX, Clery, SaVE, VAWA, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title II of the ADA, and other similar EEO laws, or a closely related field. Academic setting experience with employee relations, student conduct, or Title IX. Conflict resolution or mediation. Training experience with large groups. Prefer SHRM SCP, SHRM CP, PHR, SPHR, ATIXA Certification, or related.
