Job Summary
First Choice is a fast growing family owned building maintenance company operating throughout the Bay Area for over 20 years. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Quality Control / Supervisor to lead our quality assurance efforts, special projects, and conduct audits during overnight shifts across our entire Northern California portfolio. *HABLAMOS ESPAÑOL*
In this role, you will oversee the quality control processes, ensure compliance with industry standards, and maintain the highest levels of safety and quality. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement initiatives, uphold compliance standards, and foster a culture of excellence within our company.
This position includes a variety of janitorial and other building maintenance-related tasks including but not limited to; floor stripping and waxing, carpet cleaning, commercial cleaning, window cleaning, pressure washing, and more. You will be a vital team member responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our facilities. Your relevant skills in janitorial and custodial experience, will be essential in upholding our high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Responsibilities
- Cleans building by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
- Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
- Strips, seals, finishes, and polishes hard surface flooring (concrete, VCT tile, etc.)
- Cleans all window types using various methods and tools on all building types and sizes.
- Uses high pressure equipment to clean exterior spaces of all types.
- Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and preparing all types of service environments for work.
- Supervising and training staff
- Cleans and vacuums carpeted areas, including application of spot cleaning treatment
- Shampoo, scrub, and extracts, a wide range of carpet types.
- Drives vehicles (if required) to perform or travel to cleaning work, including vans.
- Supervise nightly quality control activities, including inspections, and documentation to ensure products meet specified standards.
- Monitor processes to identify deviations and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Oversee the training of staff on standard process, best practices, and ensure all staff are adhereing to contracted SOW.
- Collaborate with teams to resolve quality issues swiftly while providing quality services.
- Prepare reports on quality, audit findings, and non-conformance incidents for management review.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

- Familiarity with all tools, equipment, chemicals, and products relating to janitorial industry.
- Exceptional communication skills for clear documentation and collaboration across departments.
Qualifications
- Janitorial experience
- Must have drivers license.
- Knowledge/Experience of cleaning and maintaining carpets and all hard surface flooring including; stripping, scrubbing, buffing, waxing, refinishing, sealing, spot cleaning, shampooing, scrubbing, extracting, and more is a plus.
- Commercial cleaning experience
- Integrity and ability to work independently or with a team.
