Duties
- Provide expert barbering services including haircuts, shaves, beard trims, and grooming tailored to each client’s preferences
- Perform advanced hair styling techniques using knowledge of color theory and hair extensions to achieve desired looks
- Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client management, and retail sales tracking
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning tools, stations, and adhering to health regulations
- Offer additional services like eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and hair threading to enhance client satisfaction
- Engage with clients through excellent communication skills, understanding their needs and providing personalized recommendations
- Upsell retail products such as hair care items, styling tools, and grooming accessories to boost sales and meet store goals
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license issued by the appropriate state licensing board
- Proven experience with hair styling, barbering techniques, and customer service excellence
- Strong knowledge of salon software systems like MINDBODY for scheduling and retail management
- Skilled in hair extensions, straight razor shaves, coloring techniques based on color theory principles
- Familiarity with sanitation protocols and store management practices in a salon setting
- Ability to mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative team environment
- Excellent communication skills to connect with clients and understand their styling goals
