Duties
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu plans.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Assist in menu planning, including the selection of seasonal ingredients and special dietary options.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during meal periods.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
- Participate in catering events as required, providing exceptional culinary experiences for guests.
- Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques to continually improve skills and offerings.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant, catering service, or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen equipment operation.
- Experience with menu planning and dietary considerations is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with other kitchen staff.
- A passion for cooking and creativity in preparing diverse cuisines is highly valued.
- Certification in culinary arts or related field is a plus but not required.
