Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, including manual transmission trucks, across designated routes while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle condition, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load securement
- Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery schedules and minimize delays while maintaining compliance with hours-of-service regulations
- Communicate professionally with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, inspections, and other required documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and proven experience operating tractor-trailers or similar heavy-duty vehicles
- Demonstrated ability to drive manual transmission trucks comfortably and safely
- Experience handling Containers and Railyard
- Knowledge of load securement techniques
- Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks before trips
- Strong understanding of route planning, delivery procedures, and safety protocols for commercial driving
