Systems Engineer II (CISCO ISE & Wireless)
The preferred candidate will have Cisco ISE and Wireless experience.
Position Highlights:
The Systems Engineer II provides daily support in the execution of new design, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of Moffitt's systems and related infrastructure technology leveraged by Research, Business, and Clinical communities. This position will have a focus on (but not limited to) all aspects of design, implementation, and management of the Center's Storage/Backup, Virtualization, Server/OS, End-User Computing, and LAN/WAN architectures. The Systems Engineer II ensures optimal performance is maintained across Moffitt's production infrastructure; in addition to providing technical standards, operational procedures as well as performing root cause analysis after critical incidents.
Responsibilities:
Implement solutions based on business requirements and IT strategies, as well as rectify gaps and pain points within the current state. With a focus on one of the following areas: Storage/Backup, Virtualization, Server/OS, Purpose-Built Appliances/Applications, End-User Computing, and LAN/WAN/WLAN design administration.
Provide system maintenance, monitoring, architecting, disaster recovery, business continuity, and problem resolution with a focus on one of the following areas: Storage/Backup, Virtualization, Server/OS, Purpose-Built Appliances/Applications, End-User Computing, and LAN/WAN/WLAN administration.
Participate in the development of technical road-maps, designs, and testing plans for the introduction of new end-user computing and infrastructure systems/technology and changes to existing end-user computing and infrastructure systems/technology going into production.
Execute on technical road-maps, designs, testing plans, and implementation for the introduction of new end-user computing and infrastructure systems/technology and changes to existing end-user computing and infrastructure systems/technology going into production.
Ensure proper documentation is created to assist in support of all information technology operations.
Work in collaboration with System Administrators, Sr. Systems Administrators and junior Engineers to configure and install all new systems.
Perform knowledge transfer sessions and mentor System Administrators, Sr. Systems Administrators and junior Engineers for effective and efficient team effort.
Credentials and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree – Field of Study: Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare or related
Minimum of five (5) years proficiency in a systems/infrastructure engineering and/or technical infrastructure support role in storage, virtualization, LAN/WAN, end-user computing and/or server/OS platform administration.
-OR- Associate’s degree with an additional four (4) years of relevant technology experience plus the five (5) years (for a total of 9 years) experience may be considered
-OR- High School Diploma with an additional five (5) years of relevant technology experience plus the five (5) years (for a total of 10 years) experience may be considered
Skills Required:
Experience and demonstrated proficiency of at least two but not limited to the following:
Managing SAN and NAS specializing in EMC environments
Managing Backup, Archive, and Disaster Recovery solutions
Systems engineering with Microsoft, Unix, Linux, and Cisco (IOS) operating systems
Microsoft SCCM, Active Directory group policies, and desktop (end-user computing) engineering
Virtualization platforms such as VMware and Citrix
Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop
Citrix NetScaler/load balancing solutions
LAN/WAN/SDN technologies
Wireless technologies and mobile presence
Cybersecurity technologies specializing in NAC (Cisco ISE) and Palo Alto NGFWs
System automation, advanced scripting, and implementation of enterprise monitoring tools
Cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, IBM Soft Layer, Google Cloud Platform, and VMware vCloud Air
Managing enterprise DNS and DHCP environments
Salary Range
$98,342.40 - $150,030.40
Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
