American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Respiratory unit position requiring an active IL RN license and a minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience.

Work in the Medical Respiratory unit (7C Med Resp) of a hospital setting
-
Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
-
36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts
-
Weekend shifts required on a rotating basis
-
Holiday shifts required on a rotating basis
-
May float to other Carle Health facilities including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital

Uses Epic charting system
-
Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
-
BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
-
Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience required

ASN required, BSN preferred
-
Epic charting experience required
-
Serve as the primary caregiver for an assigned group of patients, applying the nursing process across a designated shift

Complete initial patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care based on patient and family needs
-
Implement and modify care plans based on ongoing evaluation of patient status
-
Maintain accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation to support care coordination
-
Report and/or correct safety hazards and incidents to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
-
Provide constructive feedback to peers and engage in professional development activities
-
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
-
RTO not to exceed 7 total days within the 13-week contract

Contingent workers may not be on assignment at Carle Health for more than one year without a required 6-month break in service
