Discover Health is a leading multi-physician concierge primary care practice. Our mission is to deliver trusted, personalized care through exceptional physicians and dedicated teams working together for every patient. As a concierge practice, we maintain small patient panels so our nurses and providers can build strong relationships with patients and focus on delivering personalized, unrushed care.
You’ll be supporting 1 board-certified physician who values trust, teamwork, and relationship-driven care. This is a Monday–Friday, full-time, no weekends opportunity within a supportive clinical team that values quality over quantity.
What You’ll Do
As a Medical Assistant, you'll be a vital part of the patient care team—balancing both clinical and administrative duties to ensure a smooth and supportive experience for every patient.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs (weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature)
- Prepare treatment rooms; disinfect and clean following patient examinations
- Assist with minor procedures: suture removal, dressing changes, ear lavages
- Maintain and sterilize medical instruments and equipment
- Manage inventory: restock supplies, order materials, and verify deliveries
- Monitor and log key safety checks (e.g., refrigerator temps, expired meds)
Administrative Duties
- Document patient history, vitals, and test results in EMR
- Ensure all labs, reports, and forms are prepared prior to appointments
- Answer phones: relay messages, follow up with patients, providers, and pharmacies
- Maintain patient confidentiality and safeguard health records

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
- 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant (Required)
- 2+ years in a customer service role (Required)
- Experience with AthenaHealth EMR (Preferred)
