Summary
Responsible for the oversight of operations for multiple BottleDrop Redemption Centers in an assigned geographical area. Responsible for ensuring departmental productivity and performance objectives are met.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
-
Oversee operations for assigned geographical areas to include maintaining equipment, cleanliness of facility, loading and unloading trailers and efficient processing of materials.

Supervise, train and coach BottleDrop Supervisors and Trainers to complete daily work assignments, maintain company standards and follow company policies and procedures.

Screen applications, interview, select and onboard qualified candidates for BottleDrop Center positions.

Coordinate new employee orientations and safety training.

Review and approve team schedules and electronic timecards to stay within labor budget.

Continually evaluate performance issues and discipline verbally and in writing, up to termination, in a fair and consistent manner.

Ensure assigned BottleDrop Redemptions Centers provide a positive and safe environment for all associates and customers.

Oversee all areas are meeting cleanliness and safety standards for assigned Redemption Centers.

Conduct audits and cash counts to ensure accurate cash handling and verify assigned Redemption Centers are meeting operational expectations.

Troubleshoot and maintain equipment, including pre-sorts, reverse vending machines (RVMs), floor scrubber, pay station, kiosks and printers.

Oversee supply inventory and monthly supply orders.

Load and unload items using power/manual pallet jacks.

Operate powered floor scrubber.

Escalate issues to Human Resources Department with a sense of urgency including Workers Compensation claims, medical leave and accommodation requests.

Enforce compliance with all OSHA Safety Standards and OBRC policies including Lock Out Tag Out.

Adhere to proper PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, hand protection) usage in designated areas of redemption centers, use of hi-visibility vest/shirts when working outdoors.

Education/Experience
-
High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
-
5+ years’ supervisory/management/leadership experience, preferably in a retail or production environment.

Cash handling experience.

Experience working within budgetary constraints.

Experience working with light industrial equipment and conveyors.

Excellent customer service skills with ability to effectively diffuse and resolve customer and employee complaints.

Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate professionally at all levels with internal and external business partners.

Demonstrated ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple projects, adhere to deadlines, handle frequent changes effectively and professionally, follow through on issues in a timely manner.

Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.

Professional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Ability to effectively manage people, plan and delegate workload, and manage employee performance.

Experience with coaching and mentoring direct reports and assisting with conflict resolution.

A current driver's license and an acceptable driving history are required.
Supervisory Responsibility

This position has direct supervisory responsibility.
Travel
-
Frequent (25%) local and out of area travel to visit redemptions centers, may use a company vehicle.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

Work indoors and outdoors as needed in various temperatures/conditions.

Occasionally work in a professional office environment and sit/stand at a desk, walk as needed.
- Use standard office equipment and a computer.

Exposure to industrial equipment with moving mechanical parts, vibration, sharp objects and cleaning products.

Occasional exposure to odors of empty beverage containers.

Noise levels in designated areas require the use of approved hearing protection.

Must be able to frequently lift/carry up to 30lbs.

Must be able to occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
-
Push/pull 50+ lbs. frequently (wheeled bag racks).
