Job Summary:
The Speech Therapy Assistant (SLPA) will work in our Lakeland clinic under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support the implementation of therapy services for our clients in office and online. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment with a diverse caseload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the supervising SLP in implementing treatment plans across a variety of communication disorders.
- Conduct individual therapy sessions by following documented therapy plans.
- Provide support and treatment for speech, receptive/expressive language, fluency, voice, social communication, and AAC support.
- Prepare materials and equipment for sessions.
- Document client performance and progress toward goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with HIPAA and practice policies.
- Communicate effectively with supervising SLP, clients, caregivers, and other team members.
Qualifications:
- Valid or eligible for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license in Florida.
- Prior experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Organized, dependable, and flexible in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Passionate about helping individuals improve their communication skills.
