Position Overview
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Axis CNC Programmer / Setup / Operator with a strong background in 4 and 5-axis programming and machining. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of hands-on experience in both programming and operating complex CNC machines, with a preference for experience on 4 and 5 axis Machines.
This is a key position in our manufacturing team, ideal for someone who takes pride in precision, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Program and operate 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC machines to produce high-tolerance parts
- Utilize Mastercam to create toolpaths
- Set up jobs including tooling, workholding, offsets, and program loading
- Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications
- Perform first article and in-process inspections using standard measurement tools
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments as needed
- Optimize machining processes for efficiency, quality, and repeatability
- Maintain accurate documentation of setups, tooling, and process changes
- Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams
- Contribute to maintaining a clean work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience programming and operating multi-axis CNC machines
- Proven experience with 4-axis and 5-axis CNC programming and setups
- Strong knowledge of HAAS and Okuma controls and machines
- Proficient in CAM programming software (Mastercam preferred)
- Deep understanding of machining principles, speeds/feeds, and tooling
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing top-quality work
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace, medical device, or other high-precision industries
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement initiatives
- Understanding of ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems
- CNC lathe experience is a plus

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
