Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team in the food industry. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for meal preparation and assisting with food service in our restaurant kitchen. Your primary focus will be on ensuring food safety, maintaining high-quality standards, and delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
Duties:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and guidelines
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely and accurate food production
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel
- Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow during busy periods
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and culinary principles
- Familiarity with food safety practices and procedures
- Experience in catering or working in a fast-paced restaurant environment is a plus
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
