You will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious seafood boils and other menu items, ensuring each dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook seafood boils, including shellfish, crab, shrimp, and other seafood ingredients, following established recipes and safety standards
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new seafood dishes and seasonal specials to keep offerings fresh and appealing
- Handle food preparation tasks such as cleaning, filleting, seasoning, and portioning seafood to ensure optimal quality and presentation
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment by adhering to food safety protocols and sanitation practices at all times
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including boiling pots, grills, knives, and other culinary tools
- Support food service operations by assisting with plating dishes quickly during busy hours and ensuring timely delivery to guests
- Follow all food handling guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a restaurant setting, particularly with seafood or in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong culinary skills with proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, knife skills, and meal assembly
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures within the food industry
- Experience with menu planning or creating new dishes is a plus
- Excellent food service skills with a focus on quality presentation and guest satisfaction
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience in fine dining or catering environments is desirable but not required
