Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as UnionPOS, ensuring efficient processing of sales transactions
- Serve food and beverages promptly, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales revenue by recommending specials or premium options like fine wines or craft cocktails
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Assist with food handling and preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen operations and ensure timely service
- Process cash and credit card transactions accurately while managing guest payments with professionalism
Requirements
- Previous food service experience in restaurants or hospitality environments, including fine dining preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as UnionPOS for order entry and sales processing
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor that fosters guest relations
- Knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink presentation techniques
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while managing time effectively
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills accurately
- Food safety certification or knowledge of sanitation standards in the food industry
- Experience with food handling, serving, bussing tables, or host/hostess duties is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in the hospitality industry
