Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of trucks including tractor-trailers to transport freight efficiently.
- Load and unload fuel safely using appropriate equipment when necessary.
- Drive route schedules confidently, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for each trip.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
- Follow all safety protocols related specialized fuel transportation.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements suitable for the vehicle types operated (e.g., tanker, flatbed).
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles involving route driving and freight handling.
- Skilled in operating manual transmission trucks with a strong understanding of tractor-trailer dynamics.
- Experience with tankers is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to freight transportation and vehicle maintenance.
