Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Chiropractic Office Front Desk / Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong background in administrative support, and a passion for providing outstanding patient service. This role is vital in creating a welcoming environment for patients while efficiently managing front desk operations, scheduling, and medical records. The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, insurance verification, and medical billing processes, ensuring smooth clinic operations and adherence to confidentiality policies.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage appointment scheduling using chirotouch systems to optimize provider calendars.
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance authorizations, and handle patient billing with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain and update patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic confidentiality policies.
- Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, providing clear information and scheduling assistance while maintaining excellent phone etiquette.
- Process payments, document review, and perform medical collection activities as needed to support clinic revenue cycle management.
- Support clinical staff by preparing intake forms, reviewing documentation for completeness, and managing electronic health records efficiently.
- Handle office management tasks including filing, data entry (10 key typing), and maintaining organized medical records in dental or chiropractic practice management.
Experience
- Proven experience in a medical office setting with familiarity in chiropractic preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to perform insurance verification, billing, coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), and documentation review accurately. ( Or willingness to learn / be trained)
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for administrative tasks.
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
- Prior clerical experience involving medical records management, health information management, and office administration is essential.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance and clinical confidentiality policies is required.
HOURS OF OPERATION:
Our office is open Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 10:00am - 6:00pm
We are currently filling the role for someone to work from 9:30am - 4:00pm
