Position Summary:
The Accounts Receivable and Contract Specialist is responsible for generating resident billing, processing and reconciling receivable transactions, and managing resident contracts. This position works closely with residents, families, and internal departments to ensure accurate billing and compliance with community policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable:
- Generate and distribute monthly resident invoices and statements.
- Post payments and maintain up-to-date records of resident accounts.
- Reconcile accounts receivable balances and resolve discrepancies.
- Follow up on overdue accounts and coordinate collections in a respectful and compliant manner.
- Prepare AR reports and assist with audits as needed.
Contract Management:
- Coordinate the preparation and execution of resident contracts.
- Ensure all contracts are completed accurately, signed, and filed in accordance with regulations and community policies.
- Maintain digital and physical records of contracts and related documentation.
- Communicate changes in contract terms to relevant departments and update systems accordingly.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for residents and families regarding billing and contract-related inquiries.
- Collaborate with the sales, nursing, and administrative teams to support seamless resident admissions and transitions.
- Stay informed about state and federal regulations pertaining to senior living contracts and billing practices.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, contract administration, or business office operations; experience in senior living or healthcare is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and billing practices.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Programs (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
- Compassionate and professional demeanor, especially in interactions with residents and their families.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
