This role involves supporting the repair and preparation of industrial compressor with a focus on quality, reliability, and safety. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and committed to maintaining high standards in a fast-paced shop environment
Position Responsibilities:
- Tear down compressors, utilizing manufacturer's recommendations and industry best practices
- Inspect equipment and parts for wear and damage
- Diagnose possible reason(s) for failure
- Provide information on parts and additional work required
- Provide recommendations to improve the reliability of the equipment
- Complete information in reports as required
- Paint and prepare equipment for shipment
- Load, secure to truck, and deliver equipment as necessary
- Clean and organize shop as required
- Other duties may be assigned.
Position Qualifications:
(MUST have to be hired):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in rebuilding ammonia compressors
- Experience with medium voltage and sleeve bearing motors
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
