IMEG is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer in St. Louis, MO to lead design efforts as a project manager or lead engineer for moderate to complex building projects. In this role, you will work closely with engineers and consultants to provide project direction, engineering solutions, and client support while overseeing the design and implementation of electrical systems in buildings.
You will help manage budgets, schedules, billings, mentoring, and cross-functional coordination across project phases while supporting client relationships and quality outcomes. This role supports education-focused work and broader institutional and public-sector projects, advancing high-performance, energy-efficient design aligned with MEP2050 and AIA2030.

Ensure design follows owner standards and requirements, IMEG standards, and code requirements, and ensure design milestone deliverables, IMEG and client quality control processes, and construction technical support occur in a timely manner .
Required Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of Illumination Engineering Society (IES) Standards and reference material resources such as NFPA Link, TechStreet , MadCAD , and Facility Guideline Institution (FGI)
Anchored in higher education, public-sector, and federal institutional work with repeated full-scope MEP, technology, and fire protection delivery. The portfolio includes campus buildings, utilities, municipal facilities, courthouses, and VA/USACE/GSA work, pointing to a strong mechanical-electrical-plumbing foundation with regular low-voltage and life-safety coordination.
They also support central plants, energy centers, commissioning, acoustics, planning, and study work, especially on more complex civic and healthcare-related projects. Overall, the portfolio suggests a team that is especially strong in complex institutional and public-sector MEP coordination.
