Job Overview
ProbioFerm manufactures live microbial products, which means the last step before a product leaves our building matters as much as the first. As Finished Goods Production Supervisor, you own that last step.
You'll lead the finished goods team through packaging and shipment — running the line, approving line clearance, managing inventory, and making the call on whether an order is ready to go. It's a hands-on supervisory role: you'll be on the floor troubleshooting equipment as often as you're at a desk reviewing records.
This is a good fit if you like being the person who understands both the machines and the people running them, and if you'd rather solve a problem on the line than escalate it.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily manufacturing operations, coordinating activities across shifts to meet production targets efficiently.
- Enforce safety standards in production areas, ensuring all team members use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly and follow established safety protocols.
- Monitor adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to maintain product quality and regulatory compliance.
- Provide hands-on leadership by assisting with heavy lifting tasks and mechanical troubleshooting when necessary.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Train and mentor team members on operational procedures, safety standards, and equipment use to promote a skilled workforce.
- Maintain accurate production records, report on performance metrics, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments with strong mechanical knowledge of production equipment.
- Familiarity with safety standards in production settings, including GMP guidelines and PPE protocols.
- Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high levels of motivation and engagement.
- Capable of performing heavy lifting safely and managing physical demands of the role.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and management effectively.
- Prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Join us to lead with energy, uphold safety excellence, and make a tangible impact on our manufacturing success!
