Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate In Home Behavior Technician to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders. In this role, you will provide direct behavioral therapy services within clients’ homes, implementing evidence-based interventions to promote skill development, improve behavior, and support overall well-being. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with families, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to positive client outcomes through personalized care plans and applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques. Duties
- Deliver one-on-one behavioral therapy sessions in clients’ homes following established ABA protocols and care plans
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, feeding, and hygiene routines
- Collect and record accurate behavioral data during sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
- Implement behavior management strategies to reduce challenging behaviors and reinforce positive skills
- Communicate effectively with clients’ families and caregivers to ensure consistency and understanding of therapy goals
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and behavioral records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with supervisors and multidisciplinary teams to adapt interventions based on client needs and data analysis
Qualifications
- RBT Certification
- TB Test within 3 days of hire
- Experience working with children or individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, particularly autism spectrum disorder
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and implementation of ABA therapy protocols
- Ability to assist with ADLs and support skill development in a home setting
- Strong data collection skills for tracking behavioral progress accurately
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards
- Prior home-based behavioral experience is highly preferred
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and family collaboration
- Commitment to ethical practices aligned with the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts
