Summary of Position:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to provide high-quality dental care to patients of all ages. The Dentist will be responsible for diagnosing oral health conditions, developing treatment plans, performing dental procedures, and educating patients on preventive care. The Dentist will also provide supervision to their Dental Assistants and Dental Hygienists. The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient experiences.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide high-quality, compassionate dental care to patients of all ages, including examination, diagnosis, treatment planning, preventive care, restorative procedures, oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, and emergency dental services within the approved scope of practice.
2. Evaluate patients' oral health through clinical examinations, review of medical and dental histories, interpretation of radiographs and diagnostic tests, and development of comprehensive, sequenced treatment plans in accordance with evidence-based standards and established clinical guidelines.
3. Perform a variety of dental procedures, including restorations, extractions, crowns and bridges, dentures and removable prosthetics, preventive treatments, fluoride applications, sealants, and other general dentistry services. Administer local anesthetics and prescribe medications as appropriate.
4. Educate patients on oral health, disease prevention, treatment options, and post-treatment care, while promoting patient engagement and removing barriers to care whenever possible.
5. Maintain complete, accurate, and timely clinical documentation within electronic dental and health records (EDR/EHR), including diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, procedures, consultations, referrals, and outcomes.
6. Coordinate patient care through appropriate referrals and consultations, collaborating with dental specialists, medical providers, behavioral health professionals, and community agencies to ensure integrated, patient-centered care.
7. Adhere to all applicable federal, state, OSHA, infection control, safety, credentialing, and regulatory requirements, including established Standards of Care and Colorado State Dental Board regulations.
8. Participate in Quality Assurance and Continuous Quality Improvement activities, including peer chart reviews, productivity initiatives, and evaluation of treatment outcomes to support excellence in patient care.
9. Collaborate effectively with dentists, hygienists, dental assistants, laboratory personnel, operational leaders, and administrative staff to support clinical operations, patient access, and overall program success.
10. Serve as a supportive team member and clinical leader by mentoring staff, supervising students, residents, or dental support personnel as assigned, and contributing to professional development and educational programs.
11. Support dental clinic operations through participation in meetings, program planning, inventory and supply management, administrative responsibilities, credentialing activities, and other duties assigned by the Dental Director.
12. Stay current with advancements in dental technology, treatment methodologies, and evidence-based practices through ongoing professional development and continuing education.
13. Demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, teamwork, and leadership while contributing to an exceptional patient and staff experience.

1. Demonstrated clinical expertise in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of dental and oral diseases, with thorough knowledge of general dentistry principles, practices, procedures, and evidence-based treatment methodologies.
2. Strong patient-centered approach with the ability to deliver compassionate, culturally responsive care to individuals from diverse socioeconomic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds.
3. Excellent clinical judgment, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze patient information and develop appropriate treatment plans.
4. Proficiency in preventive dentistry, risk-based care, patient education, and communication techniques that promote oral health and patient engagement.
5. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish rapport and communicate effectively with patients, families, colleagues, community partners, and other healthcare professionals.
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based care environment, including coordination with dental specialists, medical providers, behavioral health professionals, and support staff to ensure integrated patient care.
7. Excellent organizational, time management, and administrative skills, with the ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and maintain accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced clinical setting.
8. Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and continuous professional development; experience with quality improvement initiatives is preferred.

11. Experience with or willingness to participate in integrated medical-dental care models and interdisciplinary collaboration to improve patient outcomes.
12. Proficiency in electronic dental records (EDR), electronic health records (EHR), and other clinical technology systems.
13. Ability to adapt to changing clinical and operational needs while maintaining a positive, solution-oriented approach.

Education and/or Experience:
· Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
· Active state dental license in good standing.
· DEA registration (if required by state regulations).
· 2+ years of clinical experience in general dentistry, preferred
· Bilingual in Spanish/English, preferred.
Physical And Equipment Requirements:
· Normal work environment is an office in a primary care clinical setting, which involves some physical risks requiring basic safety precautions.
· This position routinely requires sitting, standing, bending/stooping, operating a computer for extended periods, and lifting or carrying objects up to 25 pounds.
· Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
· This position requires ability to hear routine conversations and to have the ability to comprehend both oral and written communications

Pay: $75.00 - $90.00 per hour
