ABOUT VITALPROSPECTS
VitalProspects is a fast-growing web design studio that builds high-quality, conversion-focused websites for small businesses and service companies nationwide. We handle the full journey — discovery, strategy, design, build, and launch — so our clients get a premium site without the typical agency runaround. We are building a lean team and a repeatable sales engine, and the sales rep role is the front door of the business.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a Sales Representative who is hungry, personable, and not afraid of the phone. Your job is simple: find small businesses that need a better website (or their first real one), get them on a call, show them what VitalProspects can do, and close the deal. Once you close, you hand off to our design team who takes the client through discovery, design, build, and launch.
You do not need to be a web designer. You do not need to know how to code. You need to know how to have a real conversation, understand what a business owner cares about, and move them from "I'm interested" to "Let's do this."
This is a 1099 contractor position with uncapped commission. If you want a role where your income is directly tied to your effort and results, this is the seat you want.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Outbound Prospecting — Dial cold and warm outbound calls to small businesses, service companies, and local businesses that need a website or a serious upgrade. Identify prospects through online research, local directories, Google Maps, social media, and referral networks. Log every lead and every touchpoint in our CRM — no lead falls through the cracks. Send follow-up emails, texts, and voicemails to move prospects through the pipeline.
Discovery Calls and Closing — Book and run discovery calls with interested prospects — understand their business, their goals, and what a website would do for them. Walk prospects through our services, packages, and pricing in a way that is clear, honest, and compelling. Handle objections calmly and confidently. Know when to push and when to listen. Close deals: get the contract signed and the deposit collected so our design team can start.
Handoff and Pipeline Management — Once a deal is closed, hand the client off cleanly to the design team with all the context they need — business info, goals, notes from calls, and any assets the client shared. Keep your pipeline organized in our CRM so leadership always has visibility into where deals stand. Hit daily and weekly activity targets: calls made, conversations had, discovery calls booked, deals closed.
Team and Process — Communicate daily with the team in Slack — pipeline updates, wins, blockers, and client intel. Follow our standard sales process and scripts, and help improve them as you learn what works. Ask happy clients for reviews and referrals at the right moment after their site launches.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Must-Haves: Phone confidence — you are comfortable picking up the phone and calling strangers. Cold calling does not scare you, it excites you.
Communication skills — you speak clearly, listen well, and can explain the value of a professional website in plain English.
Drive — you are self-motivated and competitive.
Coachability — you take feedback, adjust, and get better fast.
Organization — you keep your pipeline clean, your notes detailed, and your follow-ups on schedule. Integrity — you sell honestly. You do not overpromise, pressure, or mislead.
Nice-to-Haves: Any sales experience — B2B, B2C, retail, door-to-door, phone sales, fundraising. Familiarity with CRMs, sales tools, or phone systems. Experience working with small business owners or entrepreneurs.

COMPENSATION
This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Compensation is commission-based.
Flat 10% commission on every deal you close — uncapped. The more you sell, the more you make. There is no ceiling on your earnings.
No base salary — this role is built for people who want to eat what they kill.
Example: if you close a $3,000 website project, you earn $300. Close ten of those in a month and that is $3,000 in commission.
Top performers who consistently close will have the opportunity to move into a team lead role as VitalProspects scales.
