Donation Attendant
Overview
We are seeking a full-time dedicated and enthusiastic Donation Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing excellent customer service while assisting with the daily operations of our thrift store. You will engage with customers, manage inventory, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. Qualifications:
- Great communication and organizational skills required
- Ability to work without supervision
- Ability to work with a diverse volunteer population
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work comfortably in a team environment
- Must be able to lift 30lbs without assistance
- Comfortable climbing and working from ladders to stock and retrieve merchandise
- Must be able to work Mondays and every other Saturday
- Must be able to pass a background screening. No violent offenders will be considered.
Job Description:
- Maintain a positive attitude
- Meet and greet donors in a way that ensures they have a great experience
- Provide receipts to donors
- Load and unload donations up to 30 lbs. without assitance
- Organize and sort donated items into correct categories
- Assist in other departments as needed
- Complete assigned tasks
- Keep a neat and tidy work space
- Work in occasionally hectic conditions with patience and great attitude
- Assist in guiding volunteers as needed
- Any other duties as assigned by manager that may be necessary to the successful operation of the NWA Women's Shelter Thrift Store
