We are seeking a Career Services Specialist to support our workforce training programs in Westchester and NYC, helping participants secure meaningful employment opportunities and navigate career pathways.
- Career Services Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with employer partners.
- Work with the Program Director to understand the overall landscape of career opportunities and plan strategically.
- Assist with the development of surveys and evaluation tools to capture career and employment related data about participants.
- Conduct initial intake surveys to understand participant interest in terms of career opportunities.
- Provide career readiness services, such as resume development and interview support for program participants.
- Match participants to career opportunities and conduct warm handoffs to employers.
- Act as a point person for interactions with employer partners.
- Attending events and coordinating Onsite Employer Hiring events.
- Work with Site Director to establish metrics and outcomes relating to placement performance.
- Follow up on an established basis with employer partners to check on graduate progress.
- Support participants with employment-related issues during the post-placement period.
- Case Management Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings to assess participant barriers to employment, including childcare, housing, transportation, and other challenges.
- Refer participants to community partners and agencies with resources to address identified barriers.
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners to create a robust network of support services.
- Collaborate with external organizations to ensure participants have access to additional resources such as mental health counseling, financial literacy programs, and skills training.
- Provide one-on-one coaching to participants to track progress, address challenges, and celebrate successes.
- Maintain detailed notes of case management activities, including referrals, participant progress, and outcomes.
- Coordinate and participate in case review meetings with internal teams and external partners to monitor participant progress and ensure continuity of care.
- General:
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements:

- 3+ years of experience as a Career or Employment Specialist, or similar role required.
- Case management experience in workforce development, human services, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or HSE with commensurate experience required.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Demonstrated research and relationship development skills.
- Comfortable working with individuals from diverse ethnic, socioeconomic, racial, and gender backgrounds.
- Computer skills, including MS Office, Word, Zoom, and Google Suite.
- Comfortable with data entry and record-keeping.
- Salesforce experience strongly preferred.
- Bi-lingual Spanish/English is a bonus.
- This position is a remote position with some in person days required during active training, all staff events, funder meetings, and other meetings/events as required.
Salary: Up to $65,000.00 based on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonuses.

- Paid Time Off (PTO): Employees accrue 120 hours of PTO annually. Up to 40 hours of unused PTO can be carried over into the following year, with any excess forfeited upon termination.
- Sick Days: Paid sick days are set at 12 per year. Sick days do not carry over into the next year and are forfeited upon termination of employment.
- Company Holidays: Our company observes several holidays throughout the year, including New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Indigenous Peoples’ Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. These holidays are subject to change at the company’s discretion to meet our operational needs.
