Job Overview
You are responsible for executing daily breakfast service for a small, high-touch guest experience. We have 10 guest rooms. This is a seasonal, part-time role with consistent morning hours and optional evening shifts tied to scheduled lobster bakes. You own breakfast execution end to end, from menu planning to ordering to service. (we do have a server each shift as well)
- Schedule: 07:30–10:30 daily
- Season: June 15 – October 15(4 days a week on shoulder season)
- Guests served: Up to 24 per service
- Additional shifts: Optional evening lobster bake events
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast items according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Ensure all food handling and safety standards are strictly followed during meal preparation
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new breakfast options and improvements
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Serve breakfast dishes efficiently while maintaining high quality and presentation standards
- Support catering or special event breakfast setups as needed(this will include baby shower/wedding showers/birthdays that would expand outside of breakfast)
- Follow all food safety protocols, including proper storage, sanitation, and handling procedures
Experience
- Prior experience as a breakfast cook or chef in a professional kitchen
- Comfortable working independently with full ownership of service
- Strong fundamentals in breakfast preparation and short-order execution
- Experience with menu planning and food ordering preferred
- Ability to manage timing, quality, and presentation for small groups
- Food safety certification or ability to obtain one before start
- Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to the full seasonal schedule
