Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to end-users, ensuring that all desktop systems and applications function effectively. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
Duties
- Provide first-level support for desktop hardware, software, and mobile devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems and applications.
- Assist users with Active Directory account management, including password resets and user access.
- Manage software installations, updates, and configurations across various platforms.
- Perform routine maintenance on computer hardware, including upgrades and repairs.
- Monitor and maintain LAN connectivity to ensure seamless network access.
- Utilize Remedy or similar ticketing systems to track support requests and resolutions.
- Collaborate with IT team members to enhance overall system performance and security.
- Implement firewall settings as necessary to protect organizational data.
Skills
- Proficiency in Active Directory management.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite applications.
- Experience with mobile device management and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
- Expertise in software troubleshooting techniques.
- Knowledge of Remedy or similar IT service management tools.
- Understanding of LAN configurations and network principles.
- Competence in computer hardware diagnostics and repair.
- Basic understanding of firewall configurations for network security.
