Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to enhance their shopping experience
- Assist customers with product inquiries, demonstrations, and recommendations to meet their needs
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently for transactions including cash handling and credit card payments
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the store is clean, attractive, and well-maintained
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities
- Manage inventory levels through stocking, merchandising, and inventory checks to keep products readily available
- Maintain professional phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries
- Support sales goals through effective upselling techniques and personalized customer engagement
- Collaborate with team members and supervise experience to ensure smooth store operations
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math calculations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Demonstrated supervising or leadership experience in a retail or grocery store environment
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory management
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and stock management practices
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Experience conducting product demos and upselling in a retail setting
- Familiarity with phone etiquette for professional communication with customers and team members
