The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily maintenance operations of the hotel, ensuring that guestrooms, public areas, and building systems are maintained in excellent condition to provide a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests and team members. This position supervises maintenance technicians, coordinates repair activities, supports preventive maintenance programs, and ensures compliance with Hilton brand standards and all applicable safety regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team.
- Assign work orders, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of repairs and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Perform routine inspections of guestrooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and hotel equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- Assist with the repair and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and emergency repair situations.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Hilton brand standards, safety policies, OSHA regulations, fire codes, and local building codes.
- Maintain an organized preventive maintenance program to maximize equipment life and minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance projects.
- Maintain accurate records of work orders, preventive maintenance activities, equipment inspections, and repair history.
- Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and replacement parts, and notify management of replenishment needs.
- Assist in departmental budgeting by monitoring maintenance expenses and recommending cost-effective solutions.
- Promote energy conservation initiatives and proper operation of building systems.
- Work closely with Housekeeping, Front Office, Food & Beverage, and other departments to ensure prompt resolution of maintenance concerns.
- Participate in emergency response procedures and be available for on-call responsibilities as required.
- Train, coach, and mentor maintenance technicians while promoting safe work practices and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or a related trade is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in the hospitality industry, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, refrigeration, and general building maintenance.
- Valid driver's license may be required.

- Must be available to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs when necessary.
Work Environment
This position works in both office and maintenance settings and may be exposed to varying temperatures, noise, dust, mechanical equipment, chemicals, and outdoor weather conditions.

Pay: $59,121.31 - $71,199.86 per year
