Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Surgical Technician. We are a fast-paced outpatient ophthalmology ASC. Your expertise will ensure that operating room is prepared and maintained with precision, fostering a safe and efficient environment for patient care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced setting contributing directly to positive patient outcomes through meticulous technical support and sterile technique adherence.
Duties
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing and arranging surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies according to aseptic techniques.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, suturing wounds, and handling specialized medical equipment with precision.
- Maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures, including medical records and intraoperative data collection.
- Support infection prevention protocols by sterilizing instruments, managing medical equipment sterilization processes, and adhering to healthcare infection control standards.
Requirements
- Certification as a Surgical Technician from an accredited program; active state licensure or registration required.
- Hands-on experience with surgical instruments, medical equipment operation, and medical equipment sterilization techniques.
- Excellent analysis skills for assessing patient needs quickly and effectively during procedures; ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Knowledge of aseptic technique principles to prevent healthcare-associated infections; commitment to infection control standards.
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork within hospital medicine environments; understanding of healthcare safety protocols.
