Responsibilities
As an In-Home Caregiver, you will provide one-on-one, non-medical support tailored to each client's individual needs. Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Providing companionship and meaningful engagement
- Meal planning and preparation
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Medication reminders
- Transportation to appointments and errands
- Assisting with walking and mobility
- Observing and reporting changes in a client's condition
- Accurately documenting visits and communicating with the office team
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and respectful environment
Every client is unique, and care plans are personalized to meet their individual needs.
Qualifications
We're looking for caregivers who are:
- Compassionate, dependable, and professional
- Excellent communicators with a positive attitude
- Comfortable working independently in clients' homes
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable using technology, including mobile apps for clocking in and out, documenting visit notes, completing assigned tasks, and communicating with the office team
- Able and willing to travel throughout the Roaring Fork Valley, including assignments between Glenwood Springs and Aspen (as client needs require)
- Able and willing to travel throughout the Vail Valley (For Vail candidates)
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Able to lift, transfer, and assist clients safely while maintaining their dignity
- Comfortable documenting care and communicating changes in a client's condition
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience (preferred)
- Experience caring for clients with dementia and Alzheimer's disease
- Experience supporting clients who may exhibit combative or challenging behaviors while maintaining a calm, compassionate, and professional approach
- Experience with gait belts, Hoyer lifts, and safe transfer techniques
- CNA, HHA, PCA, or similar caregiving experience
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record
