Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Mail Production or Metering Attendant, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of mail and shipments within our mail processing center. Immediate Duties
- Meter incoming mail for large and specialty mail customers
- Process packages being sent via USPS.
- Operate sorting machines for letters and flats to achieve highest possible postage savings
- Use automatic inserting machines to assemble mail pieces quickly and accurately, maintaining high productivity standards.
- Load processed mail into truck for nightly post office delviery
Qualifications
- Ability to work under time pressure
- Ability to complete basic math for postage tracking software.
- Ability to operate forklift trucks not mandatory, but appreciate
- Physical ability to perform moderate lifting regularly and manual handling tasks safely.
- Basic math skills for verifying shipment quantities and calculating weights or measurements.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate filing, data entry, and mail processing.
- Customer service mindset with clear communication skills for interacting with team members or external partners when necessary.
- Experience operating automatic inserting machines is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed.

Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
