Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health histories to determine care needs.
- Administer medications, injections, and treatments following established protocols and physician orders while ensuring patient safety.
- Operate and manage electronic health record (EHR) systems accurately for documentation of patient information, medical records, and treatment plans.
- Conduct IV insertions, venipuncture, and other invasive procedures with precision and adherence to safety standards.
- Monitor patients’ physiological responses, recognize signs of deterioration or emergency situations, and respond promptly using CPR or AED as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and medical policies.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations, nursing practice acts, and hospital policies to ensure confidentiality and quality standards are upheld.
Skills
- Proven experience in emergency medicine, trauma centers (Level I or Level II), hospital medicine, or medical-surgical units.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology relevant to acute and outpatient care settings.
- Skilled in patient assessment, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, IV insertion, venipuncture, and basic life support (BLS).
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for efficient documentation and medical records management.
- Ability to perform manual handling techniques safely when moving or lifting patients or equipment.
- Experience in infectious disease care, geriatrics, post-acute care
- Knowledge of state nursing regulations including State Board of Nursing requirements and State Nursing Practice Acts; commitment to policy compliance.
