Senior Procurement Manager
We are currently seeking candidates for a Senior Procurement Manager opportunity with a highly successful global financial services firm in Boston, MA. This role will lead strategic sourcing initiatives and drive category strategy across key Professional Services spend areas, including Consulting, HR, Marketing, and Legal. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of hands-on strategic sourcing experience, strong commercial negotiation skills, and a proven track record of delivering measurable cost savings and business value within a fast-paced corporate environment.
This is a 6-month contract position paying between $64-$74/hour (depending on experience). This role supports a hybrid work model in Boston, MA.
Responsibilities
Lead the full strategic sourcing lifecycle for Professional Services categories, from opportunity assessment through contract negotiation and execution.
Develop and execute multi-year category strategies aligned with business objectives and procurement goals.
Manage RFx processes, supplier evaluations, and commercial negotiations to optimize cost, quality, and service delivery.
Negotiate complex contracts, statements of work, and commercial terms in partnership with legal and business stakeholders.
Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through spend analysis, supplier optimization, and stakeholder collaboration.
Establish preferred supplier programs, standardized pricing models, and sourcing best practices.
Drive strategic negotiations with leading consulting and professional services providers while ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
Partner cross-functionally to deliver sourcing initiatives, manage supplier performance, and support enterprise-wide procurement objectives.
Qualifications
8+ years of strategic sourcing and procurement experience within Professional Services categories.
Expertise sourcing Consulting, HR, Marketing, Legal, or related professional services.
Proven success delivering measurable cost savings and commercial value through strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations.
Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, analytical, and relationship-building skills.
Experience developing and executing category strategies for complex, enterprise-level spend.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
