Essential Duties
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provide and document new hire training in the department in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Provide and document, in compliance with regulatory guidelines, ongoing in-person and virtual training to lab employees, including:
o Retraining for errors/corrective actions.
o Training to support promotions or additional responsibilities.
o Training new processes or process improvements, including automation.
o Training new information from the technical transfer group.
- Create training materials to support training activities.
- Perform and document direct observations.
- Schedule, communicate, and coordinate training sessions and learner completions.
- Assist in the development and administration of learning exams and/or competency evaluations.
- Maintain accurate records of training in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
- Provide training expertise to the lab teams using these skills and abilities:
o Ability to effectively transfer knowledge.
o Assess learners’ needs and adjust training plan and delivery accordingly.
o Evaluate learning.
- Maintain competency in the assigned areas and provide laboratory assistance as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Ability to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization.
- Scheduling requirements:
o Ability to work designated schedule.
o Ability to work nights and/or weekends, as needed.
o Ability to work overtime, as needed.
o Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 75% of a typical working day.
o Ability to work on a computer and phone simultaneously.
o Ability to use a telephone through a headset.
o Ability to lift up to 30 pounds for approximately 20% of a typical working day.
o Ability to grasp with both hands; pinch with thumb and forefinger; turn with hand/arm; reach above shoulder height.
o Ability to comply with any applicable personal protective equipment requirements.
o Ability to use various types of laboratory equipment; including microscopes, microtomes, blades, strainers, and pipettes for extended periods of time.
o May perform repetitious actions using lab tools.
o Ability to use near vision to view samples at close range.
o May be exposed to hazardous materials, tissue specimens, and instruments with moving parts, lasers, heating and freezing elements, and high-speed centrifugation.
o Ability to work 100% of the time onsite at assigned laboratory location.
