Assistant studio manager
Shattered Glass Art Studio – Sarasota, FL
Pay: $21–$22/hour (based on experience)
Shift: Part-time Monday, Thursday & weekends.
HOURS 12pm to 7pm

We have been growing too fast and are finally ready to add an assistant manager to the team.
Seeking additional support with day to day operations and help keep the studio running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in organized chaos. We need a strong team mate who would be a steady presence in a creative and customer-facing environment.
Your job will be to answer phones, assist customers with booking concerns, pickup issues or complaints as well as help keep the team on task, and all the supplies stocked. We are a very busy art studio and everything is constantly moving, I need help keeping all of the parts flowing with ease. Ideally the perfect candidate would be great with all ages of customers, able to help manage a team and quick on their feet.
The assistant manager will be working closely with the owner to ensure guests are well cared for, staff are supported, and day-to-day operations stay on track. This is a key role in the studio and it requires dependable availability, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple moving parts with confidence.
This position requires consistency and reliability and is best suited for someone whose schedule allows them to prioritize this position.
Availability Requirements (Please Read Carefully)
- Consistent availability 3-4 days per week
- Saturday availability is required
- Schedule consistency is essential for training, operations, and team support
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily studio operations and ensure smooth class flow
- Act as the primary point of contact for guests during shifts
- Support and guide studio staff to ensure tasks are completed and standards are met
- Assist with staff training, onboarding, and day-to-day accountability
- Manage POS transactions, cash handling, and opening/closing procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate restocking and supply organization
- Maintain studio organization, cleanliness, and safety standards
- Assist with scheduling, pickups, and customer communication (in-person and phone)
- Support promotions, visual merchandising, and occasional social media updates
- Communicate clearly with ownership regarding operations, needs, and concerns
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a coordinator, assistant manager, or supervisory role required.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Comfortable leading by example and supporting a small team
- Ability to remain calm and solution-focused in a fast-paced environment
- POS, cash handling, or retail operations experience preferred
- Art studio or creative environment experience is a plus, but not required
