The Material Handler is responsible for moving, storing, and organizing materials within the warehouse to support efficient operations. This role ensures accurate handling of inventory and timely delivery of materials to production or shipping areas.
Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and move materials using manual or powered equipment
- Transport materials to designated storage or work areas
- Pick, stage, and prepare materials for production or shipment
- Perform inventory counts and assist with stock control
- Inspect materials for damage and report discrepancies
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Follow all safety procedures and equipment guidelines
Requirements:
- Previous warehouse or material handling experience preferred
- Ability to operate or learn forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math and inventory skills
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment (~34°F / 1°C) if required
- Must wear appropriate PPE and closed-toe shoes (sneakers or work boots)
