Overview:
As a Cashier/Sales Associate, you will be the face of our company—welcoming customers, supporting sales in our showroom, and ensuring all front-of-house operations run smoothly. This role blends customer service, order coordination, and light sales responsibilities, making it a great fit for someone who enjoys variety and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Atlanta Vinyl is a supplier of custom apparel printing and crafting materials, specializing in heat transfer vinyl, DTF (direct-to-film) transfers, sublimation products, and professional equipment. We serve small businesses, print shops, and creators with high-quality materials, fast turnaround times, and expert support. Experience in apparel decoration, print production, or crafting industries is a strong plus.
Objectives of the Role
- Serve as the primary point of contact for walk-in customers and pickup appointments.
- Support in-store sales by guiding customers through products and answering questions.
- Maintain showroom organization and merchandise presentation.
- Ensure accurate processing of orders, pickups, and returns, while keeping detailed records.
- Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to ensure seamless customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist all customers at the front counter and in the showroom with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Provide product knowledge and suggestions to help customers make informed purchase decisions.
- Create a welcoming showroom environment—ensure displays are stocked, clean, and visually appealing.
- Verify all outgoing customer orders for accuracy before releasing items.
- Perform final quality checks to ensure items match order details.
- Handle returns and exchanges, logging each and coordinating with Manufacturing for rework if needed.
- Receive and track inbound deliveries and incoming showroom inventory.
- Maintain front counter and showroom supplies, requesting replenishments as necessary.
- Support administrative and sales tasks including basic order entry, invoicing, and customer follow-ups.
- Upsell complementary products when appropriate and communicate promotions or new arrivals.
- Occasionally assist with light warehouse tasks, such as pulling product or packing sample orders.
Requirements
- Friendly, customer-oriented attitude with a passion for helping others.
- Strong communication skills—both verbal and written.
- Detail-oriented and organized, especially when handling product orders and customer interactions.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Dependable, punctual, and proactive in taking initiative.
- Retail, sales, or showroom experience preferred.
- Experience with Shopify or other point-of-sale/order systems is a plus.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must be able to pass a standard color blindness test.

- Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Potential Saturday Hours from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
