Position Overview
We are seeking skilled Journeyman Electricians to join a growing commercial electrical contractor in Tulsa, OK. Due to increased demand, this team is actively expanding and looking for dependable electricians ready to support commercial remodel and renovation projects throughout the Tulsa area.
This Journeyman Electrician opportunity is ideal for experienced commercial electricians seeking long-term stability, but newly licensed Journeymen with strong motivation and willingness to learn will also be considered.
Required Experience & Skills
- Unlimited Electrical License REQUIRED
- Ability to pass a 7-year background check and 10-panel drug screen
- Strict adherence to zero tolerance drug and theft policies
- Reliable transportation REQUIRED until hire-on
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, and project specifications
- Experience working with 120V–480V electrical systems
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Work boots REQUIRED (no tennis shoes)
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic REQUIRED
Preferred Experience
- Commercial electrical experience strongly preferred
- Experience with apartment remodels, hotels, car washes, and commercial building conversions
- Remodel / finish-out project experience highly preferred
- Newly licensed Journeymen willing to learn are encouraged to apply
- Familiarity with working around lifts, ladders, and confined spaces
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform commercial electrical installations, service work, and maintenance
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems efficiently
- Complete finish-out electrical work for remodel and renovation projects
- Read and follow blueprints, electrical schematics, and project instructions
- Work with 120V–480V electrical systems safely and accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
- Follow all company safety procedures and electrical code requirements
- Support project completion timelines and collaborate with project teams
Additional Information
- Primarily commercial remodel work (not ground-up construction)
- Current focus includes downtown Tulsa building conversions
- Permits and inspections are handled by the company
- Company truck may be provided after hire-on
- Minimal overtime, though occasional weekend or emergency call-in work may occur
- PLCs and automation are handled separately by ownership
Work Environment
- Commercial construction / remodel environments
- Indoor and outdoor job sites depending on project phase
- Exposure to ladders, lifts, confined spaces, electrical systems, and active construction areas
