VP of Sales

Compensation: $100,000 – $170,000 annually + performance incentives
About the Role
We are seeking a highly strategic and execution-focused VP of Sales to lead and scale our national sales organization. This individual will be responsible for driving revenue growth, building scalable sales systems, optimizing team performance, and creating a high-accountability sales culture.
This is not a maintenance leadership role — we are looking for a builder and operator who has successfully scaled sales organizations through aggressive growth phases and understands how to architect a repeatable, data-driven sales engine.

The VP of Sales will oversee the full sales organization, including Business Development Representatives, Account Managers, and future sales leadership hires, while partnering closely with executive leadership to drive long-term company growth.

Key ResponsibilitiesRevenue Growth & Sales Strategy
- Develop and execute a scalable sales strategy aligned with company growth objectives.
- Lead initiatives focused on achieving aggressive year-over-year revenue growth.
- Identify new market opportunities, verticals, partnerships, and expansion strategies.
- Build scalable sales infrastructure, processes, and performance systems to support long-term growth.
- Continuously optimize sales structure, workflows, compensation models, and territory strategies.
- Analyze sales data, pipeline metrics, and market trends to drive strategic decisions.
Sales Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing national sales organization.
- Establish clear KPIs, accountability measures, and performance standards across the sales team.
- Create a strong coaching culture focused on performance improvement and leadership development.
- Recruit, onboard, and retain top-tier sales talent.
- Build organizational followership and foster a culture of ownership, urgency, and results.
Pipeline Management & Sales Operations
- Oversee the full sales lifecycle from lead generation through account expansion.
- Ensure disciplined pipeline management and forecast accuracy across the organization.
- Monitor conversion metrics, sales velocity, close rates, and overall pipeline health.
- Implement scalable forecasting and reporting mechanisms for executive visibility.
- Proactively identify gaps and implement corrective strategies to maintain revenue targets.
Strategic Accounts & Client Relationships
- Build executive-level relationships with healthcare systems, physician groups, procurement leaders, and strategic partners.
- Support the sales team in negotiating and closing high-value enterprise accounts.
- Ensure seamless coordination between Business Development and Account Management functions.
- Drive long-term customer retention, expansion, and strategic account growth.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Marketing to improve lead generation quality and campaign effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Operations and Customer Success teams to ensure exceptional client experience and service delivery.
- Provide executive leadership with market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitive insights.
Reporting & Executive Communication
- Deliver accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reporting, and revenue projections to executive leadership.
- Present strategic recommendations backed by data and market analysis.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the sales organization.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience within healthcare, MedSurg, pharmaceutical distribution, medical devices, or medical aesthetics.
- Proven track record of scaling revenue through major growth phases (ex: $10M → $30M+, $30M → $50M+).
- Demonstrated experience building or transforming scalable sales organizations and systems.
- Minimum 5+ years leading high-performing sales teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience managing or influencing $30M+ in annual revenue responsibility.
- Strong understanding of healthcare procurement cycles, distribution models, and enterprise sales environments.
- Proven expertise in KPI management, forecasting, sales analytics, and pipeline optimization.
- Experience implementing structured sales processes and sales operating systems.
- Strong executive presence with exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Experience with CRM systems such as Zoho, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms.
- Highly analytical, strategic, and operationally disciplined.
- Ability to thrive in high-growth, evolving organizations.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in healthcare distribution or medical supply organizations.
- Experience managing remote or distributed sales teams.
- Experience scaling teams during rapid organizational growth.
- Background in building sales playbooks, compensation structures, and sales operational frameworks.
