Position Overview
We have an immediate opening for a Shop Foreman Assistant at our high-volume Reconditioning Center. Our mission is to efficiently cycle 100+ vehicles per month through routine maintenance and mechanical repairs.In this role, you will focus heavily on the administrative and operational piece of the business.
You will ensure quality policies and safety guidelines are followed, manage shop workflow, and serve as the primary liaison between the Reconditioning Center, vendors, dealership management, and vehicle repair teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Administrative & HR Support: Assist with processing shop payroll and making necessary adjustments; handle hiring administrative tasks, including scheduling interviews and communicating with potential candidates via phone or text.
- Workflow Optimization: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service shop, managing technician workflow, repair order distribution, and quality control.
- Cross-Department Liaison: Collaborate directly with sales and service staff to maintain clear, proactive communication and provide timely client updates.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor shop productivity, track technician performance, and report on core department efficiency metrics.
- Facility Oversight: Ensure the service center facility, property, and equipment are maintained to safety and organizational standards.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: Previous experience as a Shop Foreman, Lead Service Writer, Administrative Assistant, Team Lead, or equivalent role within an automotive reconditioning or repair facility.
- Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with service writing, parts ordering software, and Dealer Management Systems (DMS).
- Tech Savvy: Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) and professional phone/email etiquette.
- Communication: Exceptional leadership and communication skills; bilingual fluency (English and Spanish) is required.
- Logistics: Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
