Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble a variety of deli foods with attention to quality, presentation, and food safety standards
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Assist customers with their food orders, upselling products to enhance their experience and increase sales
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including sanitation of equipment and food prep areas
- Manage cash register operations, processing cash, credit card payments, and handling cash transactions with accuracy
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations by following proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Support kitchen operations by operating kitchen equipment safely and assisting in food preparation as needed
Skills
- Proven experience working in a deli or quick service/fast food restaurant environment with strong food preparation skills
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for retail sales and cashiering tasks
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell products confidently
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain a clean workspace at all times
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and processing transactions accurately
