Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will provide essential support across various stages of litigation cases, ensuring smooth case management and efficient legal processes. Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, including case investigation, discovery, and trial preparation.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies.
- Manage and organize case files using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw, ensuring all documents are accurate, complete, and easily accessible.
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, contracts, discovery requests, and correspondence with meticulous attention to detail.
- Coordinate depositions, interviews, and client meetings; prepare interview questions and summaries for witnesses and clients.
- Review and analyze documents for relevance and privilege during document review processes; assist with document production.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, courts, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely progression of cases.
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, scheduling court appearances, and managing deadlines to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Conduct research on specialized areas such as estate planning, environmental law, UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, family law, securities law, landlord-tenant law, immigration law, personal injury law, and more.
- Provide executive administrative support as needed to attorneys or senior staff to enhance overall office efficiency.
Experience
- Proven paralegal experience in a busy law office or litigation environment with familiarity across multiple practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law or tribal law.
- Strong knowledge of legal case management software such as CasePeer or similar systems.
- Extensive experience with legal research platforms including Westlaw and LexisNexis.
- Demonstrated ability in legal drafting, proofreading, transcription services and document review processes.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines.
- Effective interviewing skills for client or witness interactions that require professionalism and sensitivity.
- Background in handling complex projects involving document management systems like iManage or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with clerical tasks such as filing (physical or electronic), data entry, phone etiquette, and administrative support functions. Pay: $48,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
